We installed a rainwater catchment system in the residence of Benny, an elephant rescued from the circus, in the Ecological Park Ehécatl in Ecatepec, State of Mexico.
The system captures water from an area of 320m2, reaping 158,000 litres of rain per year. The Park had no access to the water network and although the Government subsidized them with pipas for the animals, these were not sufficient for Benny. The system will cover the entire needs of Benny for a minimum of 4 months, saving about 16 pipas or water tanks per year.
